    Camilla Bjerre Strups

Strups is simple, exclusive, Danish design for your home. Interior design that will inspire your own creativity and can be used again and again for any occasion: Celebrations, holidays, a very special day, or just every day.

Strups was created by Camilla Bjerre. With her background as a graphic designer she has a “less is more” approach to design. And a profound preference for materials that age well, with beauty and character, such as wood, metal, and leather – because a long product lifetime matters.

Camilla’s ambition is that we should surround ourselves with things that we actually care about, that we do not grow tired of, that are durable, and that we can use and reuse again in new ways. The Strups products are all made from select materials, they share a common visual style and they can be used for many different purposes.

The Strups Ring is a bestseller that you can use in numerous ways – as a wreath, a mobile or a towel holder.

The Hold Me Tight vases wrapped in genuine leather can be used for your flowers, but they will also add style to your desk as a pencil or magazine holder – or even organize your kitchen utensils.

Creativity, sustainability, and co-creation are all at the core of Strups’ design universe.

The products inspire and encourage you to engage in your own creative interior decorating and create a home that truly is an expression of who you are.

What’s with the name – Strups?

Well, Strups is actually my nickname. My birth name is Camilla and here in Denmark many Camillas are called Milla or Mil. So was I when I was younger, but Milla/Mil slowly evolved into Millen... then Milstrup... and finally Strups. Actually, it went even further than that and sometimes I'm called Strupsen or Struppeladeberg!

When I started my company I had to come up with a name. “Camilla B Design” and similar names sounded a bit odd and generic to me, so I ended up calling it what my friends always used to call me: Strups.

These days a lot of people actually think that Strups is my surname (which it isn’t, my surname is Bjerre).

I like the name Strups very much for a few different reasons:

    - A lot of nice conversations start with exactly this question “What’s with the name – Strups?”

    - It is unique – a big plus for anything internet/SEO related!

    - Also, it is a little bit “quirky” – just like me :-)
