About Strups

Strups is simple, exclusive, Danish design for your home. Interior design that will inspire your own creativity and can be used again and again for any occasion: Celebrations, holidays, a very special day, or just every day.

Strups was created by Camilla Bjerre. With her background as a graphic designer she has a “less is more” approach to design. And a profound preference for materials that age well, with beauty and character, such as wood, metal, and leather – because a long product lifetime matters.

Strups’ design universe

What’s with the name – Strups?

Well, Strups is actually my nickname. My birth name is Camilla and here in Denmark many Camillas are called Milla or Mil. So was I when I was younger, but Milla/Mil slowly evolved into Millen... then Milstrup... and finally Strups. Actually, it went even further than that and sometimes I'm called Strupsen or Struppeladeberg!

When I started my company I had to come up with a name. “Camilla B Design” and similar names sounded a bit odd and generic to me, so I ended up calling it what my friends always used to call me: Strups.
